5 Interior Design Shows To Binge Watch Right Now

As we mentioned in our recent ‘5 Of The Best Interior Design Podcasts’ blog post, even in our down time from porcelain and quartz we obsess over interiors and design. So, when get time to relax on the sofa with a glass of wine and a good show, it is usually interior design shows we’re flicking on. With that in mind we thought we would share with you the shows we tune into for inspiration and swoon worthy designs.

1. Interior Design Masters

The latest in a string of interior design shows from the BBC is fronted by Alan Carr and sees 10 talented designers take on a series of commercial interior design challenges to compete for one major contract. Think Great British Bake Off, just with fewer scones and more sconces. If you’d like to delve deeper into the Interior Design Masters archive you can catch season 1 on Netflix.

2. George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces

George Clark takes a look at some creative design projects across Europe, with everything from camper van conversions to Land Rover cocktail bars and pony trailer retreats.  A classic for design fans, and one that is certainly worth a binge – especially as there are 8 seasons available to stream.

3. Tiny House Nation

The tiny house craze isn’t just for The Sims, as many people in the real world are jumping on the tiny trend. Hosts John & Zack travel across the US showing us both the best, and the worst, of the tiny space phenomenon all whilst helping the home owners out along the way.

4. Amazing Interiors

This interior design show takes a look at some of the more eccentric homeowners out there. With each episode focused on three different ‘amazing interiors’ there are some awe-inspiring designs, but there’s also some that make you question everything… House of Dictators anyone?

5. Abstract

Abstract focuses on the art of design, but not just interior. If you’re obsessed with different styles of design from architecture to fonts, then this is the show for you. Across two seasons each episode takes a deeper look at a specific aspect of design – standout episodes include Bjarke Ingels Architecture, Ilse Crawford’s Interiors and Ruth Carter’s Costuming.
